When entering the pristine realm of wildlife and the environment, the Birdwatcher must understand that he is just a temporary visitor there and that he must respect nature and leave it in its natural state. This is clearly explained in the Code of Ethics that our students are required to sign. Students are also provided with information of the best clothing and gear for field work, complete information on the optics related to binoculars and how to choose suitable binoculars for their needs, birdwatching skills and field craft such as the determination of north and how to determine the height of trees, bird’s nest or other objects. An interesting chapter deals with birds in folklore while students are also introduced to bird photography.
