African Advanced Academy is proud to work with Dr. Johan Oosthuizen, a specialist in avian tuberculosis, brucellosis, wildlife disease surveillance, and wildlife diseases with more than 20 years of experience in the field of animal health.

Dr. Johan Oosthuizen has more than 12 years of expertise in disease surveillance of different wildlife species, including lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, buffalo, kudus, and impalas.

Dr. Johan Oosthuizen is also a consultant to WOAH (OIE), chair of the Ad hoc Group for Veterinary Para-Professionals (OIE), and holds a PhD in agriculture (animal health) and a Master's degree in environmental management (nature conservation - wildlife disease surveillance).
