Hello. Here is a bit about me.
Charlie obtained his BSc and BSc (Hons) degrees in Botany from the University of the Free State between 1975 and 1978. He started his career at Ciba-Ceigy but shortly afterwards, in 1980, joined the ranks of the University of Pretoria where he obtained the degrees BSc Agric, MSc Agric and PhD Agronomy. He specialized in weed science.
Charlie has produced 78 peer-reviewed research articles, 80 conference papers and more than 150 articles for agricultural-focused magazines. To date 35 Masters and 10 PhD students have completed their studies under his supervision.
His illustrious career includes the position as research manager at SARI and Dean of the Villa Academy, while he also has a contract appointment at the North-West University as Professor in Agronomy.
